Undercover Footage Exposes Cruelty at Facilities that Supply Animals for Experiments

PETA has uncovered footage, including photos and video, of terrible conditions at facilities that supply animals to labs for cruel experiments. PETA’s images show maggots in animals’ food, algae in water bowls, and animals suffering from open wounds.

“These horrific findings show that the suffering of animals destined to be used in cruel experiments begins the very minute they’re born,” says PETA Vice President Dr. Alka Chandna. “These filthy facilities are yet another reason why experiments on animals must end, and PETA is calling on officials to cancel their licenses to operate.”

According to PETA, these are animal welfare violations and should be reported as such. At a facility in Illinois, dogs and pigs are kept in crates full of feces, while in Michigan, 4000 rabbits are held in rusted cages.

Quotes and information from inspectors to PETA show despicable conditions for these animals.

Animal testing is a useless and unethical part of scientific research, the testing is found to be ineffective, as 95% of drugs that pass animal tests fail on humans. Numerous companies are standing up against animal testing and recently the USDA made a decision to eliminate some mammalian testing by 2025 but there’s more to be done and it’s time countries ban animal experimentation altogether as it hurts humans as well.
